8 Wedding Cakes That Are Almost Too Pretty To Eat!

8 Wedding Cakes That Are Almost Too Pretty To Eat!

Nothing says celebration quite like cake! Whether the style is classic elegance or modern quirk, a wedding cake design is a special detail that ties the whole vision together. While we also adore newer, non-traditional dessert options—like candy tablescapes—we will always have a soft spot for beautifully decorated (and delicious) wedding cakes.

But finding the perfect cake—and the perfect baker—can be a real challenge.

There are many considerations that go into the selection of a cake: design, size, budget, and taste. It’s also imperative to consider transportation, as it can be rather difficult to deliver a cake to a venue across the country or globe (though there are always ways to make it work)! Here at Björn & Company, we take great pride in our extensive knowledge of cakes and our carefully curated network of partner bakeries, both local and abroad, that produce beautiful, wow-worthy cakes. We are able to connect our couples with the perfect creative minds that are able to produce the cake of their dreams.

And because there’s never a wrong time to enjoy cake, we want to share a few recent cake highlights from Björn & Company weddings:

1. This beautiful cake, executed by the renowned A Simple Cake, is the definition of simple elegance. With its crisp white icing, lovely piped beading, and accents of lush live peonies, it is truly a perfectly understated cake for the classic bride. A Simple Cake, a New York City-based bakery, specializes in creating absolutely stunning wedding cakes for those looking for something exceptional and timeless.

2.This wonderful bare cake, a newly popular style, exudes warmth and fun. Created by Baked NYC, the cake topped with bright floral touches and a cheeky “Best Day Ever” speak volumes about the couple’s sense of adventure, lust for life, and creativity.

3. We love this modern, striking cake from City Sweets & Confections! The NYC bakery, who specialize in artistic design executed expertly on fine imported Swiss fondant, created a show-stopper of a cake with such bold contrast and very lifelike (but totally edible!) burgundy peonies.

4. This traditional cake is nothing short of perfection. Homestyle Desserts Bakery added the perfect amount of floral accents and golden ribbon to tie the cake into the overall wedding vision seamlessly and beautifully.

5. Now that’s what we call a celebration-worthy cake! Kelly Fink, cake designer extraordinaire, created a cake that was delightful, fun, and the perfect retro- fabulous centerpiece.

6. Lulu Cake Boutique of Scarsdale, New York was the mastermind behind this show-stopping cake. Perfect for the more minimalist traditional bride, this cake—with its barely-there touches of blush spray rose and white ranunculus—is almost too pretty to eat!

7. Another incredible bare cake from the baking geniuses at the infamous Momofuku Milk Bar, this utterly impressive number definitely tastes as good as it looks! With a healthy dose of playful chocolate chips, this fun cake was the perfect whimsical touch.

8. And last but not least, this marvelous modern creation is perfect for the more glamour-inclined couple. With just the right amount of bling and a bold square shape, it most certainly makes a statement that guests will remember for some time!
